Sustainable Solar-Powered Facility of Solid Waste Treatment for Medical Waste Conversion into Pavement Bricks
IPOPHL UM NO. 2/2025/050650
Our solid waste treatment system offers a safe, practical, and energy-independent solution for the processing and resource recovery of medical waste. Designed to address the limitations of conventional treatment methods, the system integrates waste sterilization and material conversion into a single continuous facility, reducing reliance on centralized disposal infrastructure and stable grid power.
The process begins with size reduction through crushing and granulation, followed by sanitation by our very own and locally develop type of Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) technology that we currently use for our wastewater treatment services. The treated material then passes through separation and screening stages before being blended with cementitious binders to produce a moldable mixture. This mixture is formed into pavement bricks through hydraulic compression, transforming treated waste into a useful construction product.
To support reliable operation in hospitals, local government facilities, and remote areas, the facility is powered by a customized hybrid solar energy system engineered to meet the full electrical load of the process line. The enclosed structural system is also equipped with UV-C air sterilization for added protection. By combining treatment, conversion, and renewable energy in one integrated platform, the system helps reduce disposal burden, lower waste management costs, and promote environmental sustainability.
